Wow it looks really cool! However I would move the cot so its not by the windows as it can get quite draughty, its better to have it on a internal wall. Also you shouldnt use cot duvets until bubs is over a year old as they can overheat. I hope the delivery goes well for you, you can get skin to skin while they sew you up, and your husband is allowed to stay later than visiting hours :D
Looks lovely! The only thing I would say is that we were told to put our cot on the inside wall as unless you have really good insulation, it will be a bit colder next to the outside wall. Up to you of course, you know your house, its just what I was told to do.
How beautiful for someone so loved and cherished before he has even arrived...love your message on the wall..how did you do that? I love it!!
When I need to decorate can I call on you?
PS the potential baby room has already been painted as we needed to put new carpet down so its a beautiful earth green and nice cream brown carpet and curtains...mum said I was nesting and this was nearly 2 years ago lol
Just beautiful Haidee, you have both done a wonderful job! I bet it feels great to have it all finished and ready for bubs... looks like a very inviting room, the couch is great too - i'm sure you will get a lot of use out of it! x
Thanks everyone, it was a labour of love - the HG did all the painting and I did the decorating :-) I'm so excited to see it finished. We probably will rethink the position of the cot but he will be in our room in his bassinet for the first 4 months anyway. Also, things like the duvet are purely decorational at this point, we learnt all about the overheating thing in antenatal classes. Thank god for those classes, otherwise we would be even more clueless than we are!
The nursery is absolutley wonderful. You can tell the effort that has been put in to it and how much this little guy will be loved. Well done to you and HG. What's missing is the book I'm getting you to be displayed! LOL!
It's wonderful! I love the quote on the wall too. I really like the surfboard/footprint frame, do you happen to know where that was purchased or the name of the company? That would go perfect with my theme :o)
The wall quote is my absolute favourite thing in the nursery, closely followed by the surfboard which was actually made especially for baby by the HG's best mate!
your nursery looks gorgeous -- i love the shade of blue that you've chosen. it looks really calm and peaceful. i am jealous that you seem to have big enough a room to have a couch in there!
Great job on the nursery! It looks great! Your belly pics in the last post are beautiful! It's amazing that you are having the baby this month. That's such wonderful news!
